Inside
Written by Laura Tilly MossShe’s around every corner. Always watching. She follows me closely behind; when I wake, when I leave the house, when I go to work. The lingering stench reminds me of Her constantly, leaving me without rest or sleep. She watches me when I bathe, when I eat, when I sleep. Her constant stare showers me with unease.
‘It’s not real’, I tell myself.
She grows as I grow. She becomes more powerful, whilst I wilt in her shadow. My decay feeds her roots.
As I rot, She feeds. She thrives.
Her punishments are swift and harsh, and I am Her vessel.
